AssessmentsAssessments assist in identifying your child’s cognitive abilities and in directing learning programs to suit your child’s needs. It is beneficial to examine this information for students who struggle academically as well as students at the other end of the spectrum who require extension. An assessment typically involves the child working though a number of activities such as puzzles and questions, along with a brief interview with the child and/or parent. Following the assessment, a comprehensive written report will be provided to parents along with a verbal feedback session. CounsellingCounselling helps children and adolescents understand and express emotions and talk about issues that they may find difficult, with unbiased and constructive support. The aim of counselling is to develop positive communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Counselling strives to empower the child or adolescent to work towards their goals and find solutions to their issues.Making an AppointmentIt is not necessary to obtain a referral from your doctor to make an appointment. Parents can contact Cranbourne Physiotherapy to organize an appointment with Tarryn. Tarryn can be contacted directly on phone 0414 666 578. |
